Today I read the short story called The Hunting-dinner. This story was 8 pages long. And was about how there are these guys who went to dinner at there friends house and then got stuck durring a snow storm and thn talked about ghost and then it just ended. I think this story was really hard to understand with all the big words and how the author writes things and I'm not sure that I like it.

I selected Washington Irving. I checked out The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Other Stories. In this book there are 245 pages. This book has short stories and I read the story called "Adventures of the German Student" this story was 8 pages long. The summery of this story is there is a man that moved to paris to become a student and finish his schooling. While he was studying there was a thunderstorm and he went outside and walked around in the middle of the night. There was a guillotine in the middle of the town. He went near the guillotine and found a lady sitting on the steps he went near her and it was the girl of his dreams. So he talked to her and she ended up at his apartment and then in the morning he left and then he came back and she was dead it turned out that she had her head cut off the day before and then the cop took the collar off her dress and her head fell on the floor.
